HK P30 bad chamber problems.

Hope I got this in the right forum area.

I purchased a new HK P30 in 9mm yesterday. I fired it today. The ammunition I fired was a week loaded 115gr winchester hp loaded with win sm pistol primers and 4grns of win231. I don't consider this a hot load but after 70 discharges I had a case head separation. The winchester brass was in good condition with only 3 firings on it and to size spec's. All the brass had a bulge with an outside diameter of .394 inches at the bottom of the brass after firing. The chamber specs out at .391 inside dia. The brass has a stepped ring that matches the chamber but the bulge is baffling me. I think the chamber is to large or was machined wrong. I am going to talk to the dealer tomorrow, but this is bad.
Does anyone else have the 9mm with a loose chamber.

I am trying to get the pictures uploaded. ???

Do you have these problems with factory ammo?

Of any problems I have heard with the P30, this is not one of them. I would be very, very surprised if it truly was a bad chamber. Why not call HK?

Ditto the call for factory ammo. The dealer and/or HK will ask that question immediately. I too would be surprised if a P30 was built that out of spec, but who knows. Fire some factory ammo.

Variables?

I wouldn't bother calling HK until you can reproduce the problem with factory ammo. Up until that has been done you don't have an HK problem, you have a reloading problem.

My point to calling HK was to check if the chamber measurement he is using is the correct one.

But yes I agree this is more likely a reloading problem.

If the problem was with the chamber, I would assume that the problem would have shown up when they fired the proof rounds through the pistol.

If you are absolutely sure that it is the chamber, I wouldn't fire any more rounds out of it.
