New Show about a Gun Shop in Alaska any ties to TFL?

I saw on TV there was a new show coming on about a Gun Shop in Alaska.

I was wondering if it was about a shop that use to have a member here?

I didn't catch name of channel, but must be A&E or Discovery

May be Discovery Channel, as I also saw the commercial about it and I tend to watch the Discovery Channel much more than A&E.

did a bit of Googling.... Could it be called Wild West Guns? Alaskan gun shop with a show on what looks to be Animal Planet, starting January 13.

http://www.wildwestguns.com/tv-show/

Who would thought we would ever see a gun related show on Animal Planet?

Would that aircraft gun setup be primarily for buckshot or slugs?
I am sure a deal would have been made on that box of guns before all the time was invested in tuning and mounting them on the ATV. But it was a very Cool set!
And how else would one pronounce Phred???

Well, here it is, Don Sheldon with two 10 shot 12 gauges mounted to each side. That's 40 forty rounds before reload! I'm not sure of the firing mechanism setup...I think they had some kind of strings set up for pulling the trigger.

The show was ok a few too many commercials and not a lot of details about guns or Alaska. I think it was somewhat entertaining and I will definitely watch a few more times to see where they go.

I watched it last night. Mildly amusing. A mix of guns and strange characters. Sadly very formulaic with everything being a potential disaster. Lot of fake antagonism between characters. I would rather see people be nice to each other. Discussion of guns seemed accurate but played on ignorance of one customer, pure TV. I'll watch at least one more time then decide if it is a keeper. The girl is cute. They don't oversexulaize her like that show in Colorado.

If Ken is one of the characters... the antagonism may not be fake at all...

He proudly professes to be a curmudgeon...

I'm a skeptic and dislike most of those shows, but I watched quite a bit of it and enjoyed most. There is a bit of phony drama but it doesn't seem to be way overdone like most such shows. I liked the deer hunting segment and the "day-off" contest.

Nah, that story's about someone else. If I'm remembering correctly, Ken's pocket pistol was a Seecamp, which he kept in his laundry basket...

Ken's previous appearances

This is one of many many we have seen through the years, Here

Someone said;
Quote:
He only wears the red thong during snow storms.
Well this dis-proves it. Caution eye bleach may be needed,

Ken Dreaming, Here

Firearms related, with guns, He will loose again! Scary

AH, It hit under the snow!

When Nicloe takes the first shot on her Kodiac Island Deer hunt from what looked like a modified kneeling position, Hans calls it a miss! Then, from what is seen and assumed, there is no time spent looking into this shot to verify that it was in fact a miss! Now I could buy this call if there was a spotter with a spotting scope dialed in and a good clean view which sure didn't look the case in this hunt, and Hans without glasses on those 60 year old eyes! Then, "That's alright, That's alright, there will be more".
I didn't like what was shown.
Now a big part of the hunt was the concern about the bears and I can see that, but when there is such a great chance of encounter with a bear even if it isn't as great as what was being portrayed, could there be something done with the entrails to discourage the bear(s) from coming to the dinner bell as was told by fouling the entrails with pepper sprays or ammonia, or something else that might discourage bear from being so eager to dine?
