Member ranking?

I have been trying to find information on member ranking. I am new here and see that I am a Junior Member, understandable. But I see that some people are Members and some that are Senior Members? Is this dictated by time as a member of TFL or by the amount of posts, or both? And what are the benefits of the titles?

You're a Junior Member until 100 posts and a Senior Member after that. It has no meaning, prestige or benefits whatsoever.

It serves, along with your post count, to remind you of the life you've wasted online.

Actually, I think you become a plain old Member somewhere around 15 or 20... but even after you achieve Senior Member status, people continue to judge you relentlessly by your post count.

No, I made that up -- no one sensible does that.

0 to 14 = Junior Member
15 to 99 = Member
100 to Mike Irwin = Senior Member (Good luck trying to catch him! )

As both said/implied above, it really means nothing. It's just a default setting in the vBulletin software.

When you make Staff, they take away the donuts.

We have Donuts? Are they hidden behind the Shiner Bock?

What is this Shiner Bock of which you speak? All I'm finding in the fridge are a couple cans of Pabst and something that looks like fruitcake.

I had nothing to do with this. The Shiner Bock was there the last time I looked.

Yep, almost from day 1. Of course, that was roughly 18,000+ posts ago for you, so I can understand the memory loss.

Has been since I've been around... Mid-April 2000...
