Does the Dillon Square Deal able to reload the .45 Auto Rim?

Dillon’s web site doesn’t list it but you need to contact them to be sure.

I was curious about this, too, and I found an answer on another forum which indicated that Dillon tried to make a shellplate for the Square Deal for .45 AR and there just wasn't enough material left to hold the case, because of the extremely thick rim on the .45 AR.

However, the 550 or 650 are supposed to handle it OK.

Or, just use moon clips...

No, I don't believe the SDB will handle the .45 Auto Rim....but you'll have to call Dillon to ask why ...it may be demand for the caliber more than anything...not sure.

It may be one of those things where another caliber interchanges and they just did not bother to list it.

Years ago I inquired about the 44 Auto Mag, and they told me to use the 45 auto. Doh!
