I'm new to IPSC, and I would like to upgrade my P14-45 hi-cap mags with the factory "+2" base or one of the aftermarket ones (Dawson, Arredondo, Grams). What are your recommendations? If I go for one of the aftermarket ones, which pieces (spring, follower, retainer) do I need to change? Thanks!!

Ruben, I use the Arredondos, the whole kit- base pad, spring, follower, and retainer. I have one Grams, which works only with the Arredondo parts. DVC, motorep.

I'm quite fond of my Dawson base pads. Stripping and cleaning mags is a "after every &#*@ stage thing here in the West Texas desert. Bleah. Dawson bases are oh-so-easy to take down. I saw a few folks using them, bought eight and need a few more (my wife made off with my spare P14, sigh, now I need more mags ) A |
