Wood and Steel Won World War II - Garand Video - Great Loud Sound and Slow Motion

Put this video together just featuring firing the M1 Garand. It never gets old, there is something amazing about firing one realizing the history you hold in your hands, from the action/sound of putting in the eight round clip, chambering that first round, taking the safety off and then sending .30-06 bullets down range...with that really solid tough manageable recoil back into the shoulder and the booming report followed by the "ping" of the ejecting clip.

The Garand remains one of my most favorite rifles. I had seven, down now to three, and they are my keepers.

How about you? Care to share your "first time" with a Garand?

Kewl! Really enjoy my Garand!

In my minds eye I could see our guys faring better over in the sandbox with Garands and BARs - something about desolving a building into rubble with a couple enblocs of ammo.

Great video

Wow, looks like fun. I like the WWII wooden rifles. I can see one of these in my future.

I would love to get a nice Garand someday. Nice looking rifle you were shooting. I reload 30-06 and Im sure if I had one I would load for it but what ammo do you use in your Garand's?

I can't think of any centerfire rifle that's more fun to shoot than an M1 Garand.
