I have two with in 20 miles of me. Neither carries any reloading supplies. Prices are high on Firearms and Ammo. Sometimes you will run onto a sale but not often.

Less reloading stuff than Gander Mountain. (and Gander Mountain may have the worst prices I've ever seen on reloading stuff) I have used the Dick's parking lot for gun trades, though!

We have 2 here in town :barf:...Both stores were previously Galyan's. My ohh my how I miss Galyan's.
Although I will say that they have decent clearance sales on tree stands after the season is over...other than that I dont set foot in the store. |

Yeh they post a ad shells for a really low price ---- it's for a box of 20:barf: not 25. I thing the ammo company's make that size (20rnds) just for dick's.
Their name say's it all when it comes to the customer. |

I don't buy anything for guns/reloading there. (almost NO reloading type stuff, anyway)
I think I bought a Buck folder from them once. I MISS Sportsman's Warehouse. |

About the only thing worthwhile they have is their occasional sale items. Just before hunting season, they'll get in a supply of tree stands, etc. and run them pretty cheap. Other times, they'll have advertised specials on odd stuff like 20ga target loads.

Dick's took over a Gallyan's in my area, too.
Galyan's carried reloading supplies. Dick's? Not a chance.

We have one and they are over priced. I did buy a fly rod there one time. I don't go in there there sale prices are not even that great and the one here sales nothing to do with reloading.

We just got one in Renton, WA. I was disappointed big time. No reloading gear or supplies. Very limited ammo supply with fairly high prices. Rifle prices are average but they only carry lower end models from what I saw. All told the entire gun related area is about 1/12 of the store.

My only experience with them is that their sales staff lives up to the business name!

Oh Dick's is a real classy outfit ! They decided to sell hunting licenses at their Williston , VT Store . As part of the deal they were given a large number of Fish & Wildlife Calanders to give away to people with a license purchase , or whatever . What they did was mark them $9.95 ea. and try selling them . I guess that lasted about 2 days before F&W got wind of it and went and severed ties with Dick's . I haven't darkened their door since , nor will I !

Dicks is okay it just depends on what you are looking for as they pretty much only carry hunting guns.
Sportsmans warehouse was awesome(we only had one for a year). I just dont get why they went under. |

In my experience with the staff, Dick's is appropriately named.

Dicks serves one purpose for me: I walk in to the "Lodge" and look for either Federal Champion 714 .22s, or CCI Standard bricks. If I don't see them, I walk out.
I don't even buy regular sporting goods there, much less gun stuff. The only good deals to be had there are clearances from time to time. Even those generally suck. I still love seeing the $46 boxes of Federal Fusion 30/06 ammo with red tagged clearance stickers. Good luck with that boys! |

There's a couple of Dick's (One with a HUGE sign on the front, big white block letters probably 20 feet high, prompting more than a few snickers) Sporting Goods stores in the Omaha area..... they cater more to the athletic crowd-soccer, golf, softball, running, etc. - than to hunting. The prices are not bad, but the selection is pretty limited. They do have decent ammo sales a couple times a year.....
Two reasons I don't go there to browse: -no reloading suplies -no handguns |
