Law enforcement NFA weapon suppliers?

When a police department wants to buy restricted weapons (i.e. fully automatic), who do they buy them from? I know they don't have to hunt for transferrable ones and pay exorbitant prices like civilians, but the only company I've been able to find that seems to supply them at normal prices is Kiesler Police Supply. Surely there must be more out there, perhaps without a web presence such that I can locate them. Would any LEOs care to weigh in?

I'm not a LEO but I can answer your question. Most of the time from a police distributer but LE only weapons can be had through Ellett Brothers providing you have the proper documentation!

Class 3 dealers are constantly approaching departments to try and sell them weapons. First, they often offer a trade of new post-86 weapons for older, possibly transferable weapons (which are worth much more than the newer guns). Second, moving guns to LE agencies shows activity on their books - a requirement of having the FFL/SOT in the first place. And finally, it affords the dealer the opportunity to get new demo letters so the dealer can get more post-samples in their inventory.

They buy them from the makers, distributors and dealers of LE weapons.

It's not strange to be bidding against Colt or HK for their own weapons.
