Reverse Dovetail to Picatinny conversion Sig556

I'm looking for something that will allow me to use the front hooded sight off of my Sig 556 on a standard AR-15 Picatinny rail. The front sight on the 556 is mounted on some kind of a reverse dovetail. Plus, there's also the issue of height. I have to make sure this adapter raises it up just high enough to match up with the Sig rotary diopter rear or a standard AR-15 rear sight.

Anybody know of a way to do this?

Just get yourself a Troy Rail and call it a day. Will look allot cleaner and will eliminate the front and reat site to mount low profile sites which work best with the 556 configuration. Standard rear sites made for AR's will not work with the profile of the front site on the 556 as side note.

Why would you wanna take the sight off your sig556 anyway? Are you planning on selling it without the sight?

I think your best bet would be to buy an HK style flip up front sight that's designed to work with the AR. They aren't fully hooded like the Sig sight, but when looking through the rear peep sight the sight picture should be the same.

a little more background. i have the p556, so the rear rotary diopter is kind of wasted on it. the flip up peep sight that's built into the rail is pretty crappy, so i want to just replace both with some magpul mbus. since i already have the rear rotary diopter i wanted to put it on one of my rifles or carbines. i figured if there was some way to adapt the front sight, i wouldn't be wasting any of my sights, but it looks like i'll just have to get the troy, mi, or yhm flip up options in the half hood configuration.
