Finally took a picture of the Harem,,,

Not that it's even such a great picture,,,
But at least it shows the ladies all together for the first time.

Jezebel - S&W Model 629, 6" N-frame in .44 Magnum.
Brighid - S&W Model 686, 6" L-frame in .357 magnum.
Morgana - S&W Model 67, 4" K-frame in .38 Special.
Lilith - S&W Model 63, 4" J-frame in .22 LR.

All 4 major frame sizes and calibers in one group,,,
Now when I go to the range I'm bewildered by choice,,,
Morgana and Lilith seem to always get the longest workout.

Just blatantly showing off the newest set of guns.

I think it might be worth it to drive from Sooner country to Cowboy Territory to fondle your ladies. Nice collection.

Ooooo... pretty pretty! I'm very jealous, I've been wanting a 629 classic and 686 6" for a long time.

Thanks gentlemen,,,

I simply wanted a set of handguns,,,
That contained the most common frames/cartridges.

I found an old hard-shell briefcase at a thrift store,,,
$5.00 worth of foam from WalMart and I have a case for the ladies.

I took them to the range Sunday morning,,,
I got lots of people looking at them,,,
And shot lots of other guns too.

Everyone wants to shoot Jezebel, Brighid, and Lilith,,,
Morgana in "mere" .38 special got overlooked.

That's okay by me though,,,
.22 LR is my favorite cartridge,,,
.38 special is my second favorite.

And when it rained and the guns got a drop or two on them,,,
I didn't have to freak out about it like with my blue babes.

I just wiped them down with an oil rag,,,
Stopped for a few lazy beers on the way home,,,
And cleaned the stainless steel guns at my leisure.

It was a nice day.

Well, now you've got 2 sixes and 2 fours .. looks like a perfectly good excuse to me to start looking for a couple of two inchers.

A friend of mine has the exact same set in blue,,,

Well, not the exact same model numbers,,,
But the basic set functions exactly the same.

Model 29, 6",,,
Model 586, 6",,,
Model 15, 4",,,
Model 34, 4".

His set was what inspired me to assemble this Harem.

I just like sets and pairs of handguns.

Whaddaya think,,,
Should I add an NAA Mini in .22 short?

I could call her Tinkerbell.

Aarond

P.S. Don't hate stressfire,,,
You'll get an ulcer.

Nice set you got there, I love me some Morgana. Right now I have the hots for any 3 inch S&W J-frames. Dealer, pusher, don't have to say a thing just lay it down on the counter top.

Hello Bossman,,,

I just sold one you would have liked,,,
I loaned it to a friend while her gun was in the shop,,,
She took it to the range and then begged me to sell it to her.

3" Model 36 LadySmith,,,

I did have a bit of sellers remorse,,,
But I feel good knowing she has a decent handgun,,,
One she likes well enough to actually take out and practice with.

No, I don't think that would really fit with the rest of the family.
Since the group represents calibers and frame sizes, I would suggest you add a .32 Hand Ejector I-frame. Maybe nickel plated so it blends in with the group.

Hello LarryNTX,,,

You're correct about the Mini not really fitting,,,
I think I'll let the Harem stand as a family of four,,,
The idea of the NAA Mini was really only for the cute factor.

Oddly enough, there was a blue S&W .32 that just sold from the Evil Pawn Shop,,,
It was in real nice condition so I assumed it was a "sock drawer" gun.

Nice set Aarond !

One of the things that I like about my stainless 629 is that when you clean it , you KNOW that it is clean !

Hello georgepittenger,,,

The 629 was my first stainless steel handgun,,,
It was a gift to me from a good friend.

Up until that time I was a blue steel snob,,,
But like you say, cleaning one is so much easier,,,
That alone pushed me towards stainless steel as shooters.

Stella, my Model 15 Combat Masterpiece is my favorite handgun,,,
But I think I'll be shooting Morgana my Model 67 a lot more,,,
I'm not abandoning blue steel as it's still the prettiest,,,
I simply have a new appreciation for stainless guns.
