Scope Mount for Untapped Model 41

I've got an older Model 41 made before S&W began tapping them for scopes.
It's a pristine pistol on which I would like to install a smallish red-dot scope but I'd like to avoid doing any additional drilling and tapping if I can help it.

I haven't been able to find anything yet, so I'm wondering if anyone with one of the older Model 41's has found a scope mount for it that will use just the original sight screw holes or some other means of non-modified mounting.

I have seen some that fit under the pistol grip.

www.speedshooterspecialties.com or www.bme-mounts.com have a Weaver rail that will attach to the barrel when you remove the rear sight. No drill and tap needed.

The UltraDot L/T reflex sight would make for a very nice combination. http://ultradotwest.com/ultra_dot_we...e_2006_006.htm

www.aimtech-mounts.com also makes a no gunsmith mount, that I think is a grip replacement style.

Good Luck...

Thank you gentlemen. You've given me some good starting points.

And yes, I was thinking of going with a red dot sight of some kind all along. Since they are typically much shorter than any "scope", I didn't think I should need a long sight rail anyway.
