Leupold VX-R problems

I purchased a Leupold VX-R (Ballistic Fire Dot reticle) in early October and discovered that it eats batteries. A new battery would last about 15 to 20 minutes before it was completely drained. I sent it back to Leupold 3 times before they finally admitted that it was, indeed, defective. I am still waiting for a replacement.

Does anyone here know of a battery drain issue with these scopes?

Thanks, Ken W
