Practice and competition load

Should this always be the same? I'm thinking of reducing my practice load by 0.3 grain. Would this affect my shooting during competition if I add the 0.3 grain?

In pistol, probably no noticeable difference--unless accuracy goes to pot.

In rifle, probably no noticeable difference until you reach 300 yards or more.

A lot of this depends on your caliber, your load, and your accuracy requirements.
