1980 Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 w/6" Bbl
I have been trying to locate a manual that would have come with a Model 29-2 in 6" barrel length, but all of the manuals I've seen, show it coming in a 4", 6 1/2" or 8 3/8" barrel length. I know that it came in the 6 1/2" barrel length prior to S&W making them in the 6" length (to cut cost I guess), but did they make a manual indicating it was 6"?
I posted a similar thread on the S&W Forum yesterday and no one has responded. Hopefully someone here knows. Thanks!

S&W dropped the 6.5" barrel in 1979 to go with the 6". The 6'' is actually more scarce than the 6.5 on a 29-2.
The -2 variation ended in 1982 so S&W likely did not rewrite owners manuals for a .5" barrel change. Jim |
