I finally knocked the stink off for this season. I stalked this guy for a very short time around a cotton field. He was grunting like he owned the place. He's the type of buck that needed to be killed. We aged him at either 4.5 or 5.5 years old and all he had was this tiny rack with half broken off.

Thanks. That's my good luck hat. My wife gave it to me last Christmas and she was just telling me how she never saw me wear it. I shot him with my
.308 at 30 yards.

My nephew shot an old buck like that and it stunk so bad i tried to talk him into burying it on the spot. It didn't even make good sausage.
The oldtimers would call them a "Piss Buck".

He is pretty ugly, my bet is he has been out of the gene pool due to lack of interest from the does.

good set up shooting him at 30 yards. you were doing your job well.
