My latest project involves yet another Mauser, an 09 Argentine to be rebarelled in .338-06. Is it worth the effort to grind off the protrusions that guide the stripper clips?

I'd leave them intact unless they somehow interfered with the scope mounting. These protusions aren't very big on an '09 Argentine.
