I made a couple of cheap target stands out of an old expanding baby gate. I used some thin shelf brackets as the "knives" to push into the ground. Add a piece of cardboard for a target backing, and bingo!
I am usually not a Rube Goldberg type, but this works very well. Now I don't have to haul around a bunch of junk in the trunk of my '79 Granada to use as targets
