Whats up With CZ!?

Hello all. I ordered a CZ 85 combat back in December and I still don't have it. I ordered it through a FFL dealer friend of mine and the "ship date" just keeps getting pushed back. Has anybody else experienced this with a CZ lately? I am wondering if I should cancel the order and go for something else.

Thanks,

I've been patiently waiting for a 75B to show up in any of the LGS for quite some time. I'll continue waiting.

They're not the easiest guns to come across sadly. CZ doesn't produce the same volume as some of the other manufacturers. As they gain notice and popularity, it'll be harder to find exactly what you want. I would hold out for one but keep your optional open on where you are willing to get one from if you want one sooner rather than later.

It's not just CZ, it's almost anything that has to be ordered in. If you find a dealer or shop that has exactly what you're looking for in stock,...that's great. If not, you just have to wait.

thanks for all the help....I think I am going to wait. I did alot of research when I bought this 9mm and I don't want anything else. Being a CO resident however I am racing the clock on the whole hi-cap mag BS.

Then order your hi-cap mags now from an aftermarket distributor.

There is going to be a decent delay with any decent firearm these days. CZ's are awesome pistols and definitely worth the wait.

Garretj64--

My dealer has a very close relationship with CZ USA. We are all here in KC. Despite their relationship, he said CZs are impossible to get. Usually, they have shelves full of CZs with more in inventory. When I was in there Wednesday, there was not a single CZ in the house.

CZ-USA ships their mags out pretty quickly, having ordered multiple from them- normally in my hand within a week. I was looking yesterday, and they have mags in stock. Get the factory good stuff before going aftermarket, since the price difference normally isn't that noticeable.

my friend bought a CZ this week. In stock with no problems. I was amazed at how well it shot. I was better with it than he was ha.

CZ khaki tan ball caps...

My good friend and I were in a well known firearms shop today, Norwalk CT. We saw a few CZ firearms ballcaps for sale. I considered buying one but I don't own any CZ brand weapons.

You to give them a try. I have two CZ pistols and one rifle. Fine shooting guns. I think the rifles are finished somewhat better than the handguns.

CZ handguns are not over machined to make them look as good as they shoot.

That helps keep the price down. I was lucky to get mine a couple of years ago.

CZ 85 Combat...

I'm left handed & considered the CZ85 Combat for general carry/duty but Im in no big rush. The CZ line is high quality but so is: Walther, Beretta USA, Glock, SIG Sauer, S-A, HK...

I was told that CZ rifles would be arriving to the U.S.A. in April, I was told this back in January. I do not know if that was the case or not.

I assume the pistols are coming this spring sometime, but I asked specifically about rifles.

Usually "feast or famine" when it comes to CZ's and they sell out FAST!

I wonder if it's just U.S.?

I wonder if European dealers and distrubitors get more prpmpt treatment than U. S. dealers get? I have several CZ airguns and can assure you that this segment of CZ is also affected by CZ's spotty reputation for service and sales. It's a company-wide disease,
Too bad because nearly every CZ I have shot has been excellent! Firing behavior and function have been waay above the norm for it's class of gun.

The only CZs I see shops being able to get out here in WA/IDAHO are P-07s.

I've not seen a 75B, 85 Combat or anything like them in 2 years.

Some guys up in Spokane did get SP-01s, but that was last year.

The factory should be cranking out the new P-09 Duty pistols,

but they could be filling huge military orders for other guns.

CZ_USA told me a few days ago that the warehouse is practically empty, that guns are being flown in, (no more slow boat, takes to long), and they are sold before they get off the plane! CZUB has many places to supply other than just the US, including the brand new CZ-Brasil, so they pretty much have to allocate resources where they can.
On the other hand, rumor has the P-09 coming in soon...we hope.

You know, I liked CZ products, rifles and pistols, a lot more before all the johnny-come-lately folks found out what some of us knew way back.

They have never been easy to find, and are nearly non-existent today.

Welcome to the club, and even at today's prices they are still a bargain.

I have shot some and they are awesome, that is why I am waiting...I did go ahead and order 2 hi-cap magazines just in case it doesn't show up before July. I am in no hurry as long as it gets here eventually! I am thinking about getting the Kadet kit for it also. Anybody have experience with it? I hear its pretty good.

Yea that "CZ P09" seems like it would be worth the wait! I guess you just have to be in the right place at the right time!
