Questions About EAA (Again)

Hello All!

I was going to get a rifle for Christmas (I buy my own... So? ), and while looking, I stumbled upon an ad for the Witness in 10mm or .45. It looks like one is easy to switch to the other, and the low cost of conversion kits is a definite plus. I just had a few questions about them. I have heard that some Witness frames won't work with all of the conversions, while others accept them all. What's the truth of the matter here? Also, apart from the legendarily poor customer service, how are they? I've looked at about 100 threads about them. From what I see, for every 20 great reviews there is one guy who hates EAA's guts and wants to see them gone from the planet. The same could be said for every other pistol (including the all-hallowed Glock and Kimber).

I know that CZs are better. I own 3. I just want something different and money is tighter now than usual. You know how it is. The pistol would likely see some carry, but would mostly be just for target shooting. Any input would be much appreciated!

My own opinion, - if I were to go with a 10mm - I'd go BIG.

If I do get a 10mm auto it will be the Witness Hunter.

Thank you sir! The Witness Hunter is gorgeous. I much prefer it to the Glock offerings in that caliber (I only mention the Glock as it is closest in price, from what I've seen).

The Hunter is a gorgeous piece, but I don't know if I could afford one. I do know that I don't want any polymer pistols in this case, and I can't imagine the recoil on a compact 10mm! haha

I briefly had a Witness 45 in the Wonder Finish.

My CZ impressed me so much over the years I wanted something the same size but in 45 to replace the Sig 220 I had.

I really tried to like the thing, but for some reason it just didn't do anything for me. Hooked trigger, safety that was too easy to engage, sharp leading edges, rear sight jacked up so high it put shots near the top of the target.

I now have a CZ 97b that I adore. Go figure.

My understanding is, older models came in 2 frame sizes. Newer ones have a single frame size, and all conversions made for that frame work on any given gun.
