Best 28 Gauge
Any thoughts on the best 28 gauge for upland hunting and some skeet? 1st choice O/U, 2nd is SXS, 3rd semi-auto. Price range around $1,000 to $1,100.

People with Red Labels in 28 gauge seem a happy lot. I see few used ones advertised.
Remington's 1100 in 28 gauge is a sweetheart too. Both should be in your range.... |

Well, I have a Red Label in 28ga, an 1100 in 28ga, and a 870 in 28ga, as well as my Beretta tubed gun for competition. Out of the first three I would rather use the 1100 for comfort and ease of use on the skeet range or hunting, but, I don't like to pick up and scrounge for my ejected shells, they are too expensive to lay on the ground without retrieving them. So I use the Red Label a bit more and the 870 as much as the 1100.
If it's a 28 gauge, it's all good.
