Firing Pin

When I shoot Winchester 124gr 9x23 (white box) USA ammo in my SA 1911A1, the primer does not dent but scrapes a little primer material off, but still fires the cartridge. It does the same thing when I shoot 9mm Luger (S&B) ammo.
Is there something wrong with my firing pin, spring or both???
They are stock from Springfield.

Do you have interchangeable barrels? Do the 9x23s work in the same mags?

Well of course I have two (2) barrels guys. I use 38 super mags for both 9mm and 9x23, works great.

Sounds like the FP is dragging on the primer. Check to see that the FP and FP hole does not have burrs on it, that the FP does not hand up. I would also replace the FP spring with one from Wolfe springs.
