Overpriced Lee shot shell reloader

http://www.amazon.com/Lee-Precision-...A2HW4ODLJATN5W
I see these outrageous listings on Amazon from time to time. Who would think that a Lee shot shell reloader would be listed for $9,993.50 + $6.49 shipping.

Extremely high prices on an item there help keep the seller visible on the web site.
It really has nothing to do with the actual selling price.

That particular loading tool is to be sold to the US military only. The civilian model goes for $99.00...

That's the special edition made for people that consume too many adult beverages before wading into the depths of the internet.

Sellers list items with stupidly high prices like that when they are out of stock, but don't want to remove a listing. It keeps the listing visible to shoppers searching for that product, and as soon as the product is back in stock, the seller's simply change the price without having to start an entirely new listing.

You never miss with the ammo it loads, but Mephistopheles comes to claim your soul after your third straight 100.

That is funny. Sometimes it works the other way around though. Not long ag I bought a MEC 20 ga. Sizemaster for $175.00 on Amazon. The day it showed up I went back on and the price had been changed back to normal.
