Heh...If we could choose between .45 and 9mm in the military? It'd be a tough call...More bullets vs less bullets would be the only concern. As far as FMJ's go, .45 would be my pick.
JHP? 9mm or .45 Sorry, ok anyways. Like I said with my P220. They will eventually look worn down, but they're outlive you if you just maintain it the proper way! |

I always come back to the idea that if you consider you might be using suppressors for some operations that .45ACP is pretty much already a subsonic round, or that it looses less in the translation to subsonic then 9mm does.
In other words, if you go .45ACP over 9mm you lose less lethality when suppressed. I would think this has something to do with why the SOF guys seem to gravitate toward .45ACP over 9mm.
