Selling antique ammunition
Hi folks,
Not sure if this is the right forum for this. My elderly neighbor recently passed and while I was helping his wife go through some of his stuff we found a dozen boxes of old shotgun ammo; Alcan, Remington the first production run in plastic, Peters. There is a hand write sales receipt dated 1968. I looked on line and it seems like some of this might be collectible, so here's my question, how doI find someone who might be interested? I live in a small town in NE North Carolina and the only local place I can think of to take it is a pawn shop. Thanks in advance for your help. Stubob |

There are some colored-tip military rounds that are illegal to possess or sell in CA, but shotshells and commercial ammo should be OK. You might want to run some of the hoard by a cartridge collector first. I happen to be a pretty advanced one and would be happy to either look over what you've got, if you can send pics, or I could put you in touch with someone in your area. Might help give you an idea of what you have and what it might be worth.
PM if you want any info. |
