Same POI
Recently I purchased a Savage Model 10 Predator Brush in .243 with the Accutrigger, added a Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5X10X50 with the Ill Reticle on a set of Weaver Tactical Rings.
I loaded my first go of loads with 45.5 grns of H4831SC, a 90grn BT, WinLR primer on Win brass and it was a nickel grouping after I got it dialed in and use to the trigger. This past weekend I loaded another batch of 42.5grn Varget, a 70grn BT, Win LR primers, on win Brass and the group was between a dime and a nickel. The difference in the loads by the book was about 300fps but the amazing thing was that the load had the same POI meaning I can switch between the loads to that range with no scope adjustments. It'll be interesting to see where things lie at distance. |

It's always nice when it happens that way.
Sometimes it just doesn't work that way though. I have had loads with the same bullet but different powder shooting close to the same velocity have a POI difference of 2-3". |

That's the way it is for me 90% of the time DB. I'm just really impressed with this little rifle and scope combo. Its just dead nuts on every time.
I just wish Savage would offer this rifle in a 7mm08. |
