Same POI

Recently I purchased a Savage Model 10 Predator Brush in .243 with the Accutrigger, added a Bushnell Elite 4200 2.5X10X50 with the Ill Reticle on a set of Weaver Tactical Rings.

I loaded my first go of loads with 45.5 grns of H4831SC, a 90grn BT, WinLR primer on Win brass and it was a nickel grouping after I got it dialed in and use to the trigger.

This past weekend I loaded another batch of 42.5grn Varget, a 70grn BT, Win LR primers, on win Brass and the group was between a dime and a nickel.

The difference in the loads by the book was about 300fps but the amazing thing was that the load had the same POI meaning I can switch between the loads to that range with no scope adjustments. It'll be interesting to see where things lie at distance.

It's always nice when it happens that way.

Sometimes it just doesn't work that way though. I have had loads with the same bullet but different powder shooting close to the same velocity have a POI difference of 2-3".

That's the way it is for me 90% of the time DB. I'm just really impressed with this little rifle and scope combo. Its just dead nuts on every time.

I just wish Savage would offer this rifle in a 7mm08.
