Does the gun go "click" when you pull the trigger on the second shot??

If it does, what does the primer look like??

If it is 2 3/4" it isn't cycling far enough to reset the hammer, I know I have 2 that do it with anything other than high brass 2 3/4" loads and the standard 3" and 3 1/2"

The 935 is designed to shoot only 3 and 3 1/2" shells. Look at Mossberg's web site.
