I have an old model convertable vaquero and I hate to admit that while it shoots 45 l.c. good it shoots acp better. Thats a good thing for the pocket book but I bought it to shoot the long colt because of the nostalgia of the cartridge. Glad it shoots both though.

Shoot just as well ... if all is well with the revolver of course. I have two .45 Convertibles of the flattop variety from Lispeys.

I've got the Blackhawk convertable and I only use it for 45ACP only, works great with that bullet. I've probably shot more than 3,000 rounds in it with not one problem and is very accurate. I've got 3 ruger 45Colts so thats why I never change the cyl. Charlie

Have any of you used a 1911 magazine as a "speedloader" for your revolver when using the ACP cylinder? I've seen a pic in a gunrag, but haven't seen anyone actually load a whole cylinder.

I have the convertible Blackhawk, and have not found accuracy to vary between the Colt vs. ACP loads...........but, so far all I have have shot have been 200 grain lswc bullets at around 950 fps out of both cartridges, so I don't really have a lot to go on.

The ACP loads are my standard reloads, and I did not realize when I loaded the Colts that although its different powder and charge weight, they were the same velocity.

My 3 3/4" Sheriff's model shoots the ACP to POA @15 yards,I like it a lot better than the 45 Colt cylinder.
