Depressing...

So I ordered my Lee Classic Turret a couple of months ago and it arrived today. (Looks like a nice piece of equipment BTW.) I have the brass, bullets and primers to reload .223 and 9mm but have not been able to find powder in 2 months of actively searching. I don't have very many bullets for either.

So I have built my bench, received all the hardware and can't even make my first round Looking forward to getting your input on this hobby but it looks like it is going to be a while longer.

Powderless in Ohio,

Beentown

What kind of powder do you need. My LGS have quite a bit. If they have what you are looking for maybe we work a deal out... I cant find 223 bullets!

I have only been able to find 250-.223 bullets.

I am not going to be picky about powder. I need something good for .223 and .308WIN. Something like H 335. Also looking for a pound of powder to reload 9mm...something like Bullseye.

We have a Cabelas store opening near me next week and I hope they are stocked well...

Same here, my LGS has a fair amount of powder. They're down 50% from normal but it's there.

WOW! 50/lb! I just bought 2lbs of AR-Comp & 2lbs of AA2460. 26.99 and 22.99 respectively.

I have primers, powder, brass, and a few bullets.... those (bullets) i cannot find.

oh, whatever you do... DO NOT order from River Valley Ordnance. They take your order, your money, and thats the last you ever hear from them!

I was thinking if we were closer I might be able to help you out with some small quantities. I am South of Marietta. By the time you buy gas it would be cheaper local. I'll second that on RVO. They used to be good to buy from. When He died and his wife tried to keep it going it went downhill real fast.

Wondering what kind of selection/price the new Cabelas is going to have. I am able to go in a day early of the opening and purchase so hopefully it is fruitful.

Hopefully they will have a little for the opening. I have been to the Wheeling WV Cabela's and it's nice. I went to the Charleston WV Cabela's not too long after it opened and they didn't have much. It was before all the craziness started so it looks like being smaller they won't have much.

Ugh...the search for components and the outrageous prices are really taking a toll on my shooting and overall interest. Can't shoot because I cannot afford $1 a round for plinking ammo. Don't wanna shoot up my "just in case" ammo. Can't find components and when I do they are going to make the shooting cost 3 times loaded rounds of a couple of months ago.

Meh, all dressed up and nowhere to go.

Seems the price is going up at some suppliers

This is getting depressing. I need some Varget--And it is just nowhere to be found! This should be easing up in a few months, but it seems like forever.

Seems to be opposite here in north central TX... I can find bullets for days, just can't find primers or powder anywhere local...

No powder here in Central Florida that I could find except for at the range I use. Bought 1# of Unique for $26 couple of weeks ago. They then had 1 left on the shelf. I'm loading for .38sp, .357 and .45acp so I'm set for a "little" while.

Really appreciate it but I am clear down by Columbus.

I was able to get some powder and bullets at the Cabelas opening...

Now the search continues for:

.223 plinking bullets
More .223 brass
Large rifle primers (I think I have some coming from a friend from a restock at Cabelas)
Small pistol primers
More powder

If I can now load some .308 as soon as those dies come in. Need small pistol primers for 9mm. Bullets for .223 rounds. The search is usually part of the fun, hopefully it lets up soon.

Cabelas has almost nothing, was there today. Try Fin,Feather and Fur in Ashland or Sportsmans Den in Shelby, call first but they had powder last weekbut would limit you to 1 keg or 2 cans. Good Luck

I know how you feel, Bro. I ordered my reloading stuff at the height of the 2008/9 craze. It tooks a couple of months for it to arrive. The plus side, I found out that the CS at Lee Factory Sales is excellent.

Bruno's has great deals on primers...only $60 per thousand, with a 3000 minimum.

I mean, really, who could pass up such a bargain?
