Crimping

I am looking load some 300 win mag. How much crimp should I be trying for? I am using the Redding die set. If I were to seat and crimp in seperate opperations, could I use the same die to seat the boolit, then re-adjust and crimp using the same die? Or should I get something like a factroy crimp die?

You can seat and crimp in one step if you set the die up properly. Only crimp bullets with a cannelure.
