S&W Single Stack .40

About 10 to 15 years ago S&W produced a metal framed slim single stack .40 S&W Cal compact pistol.

It was stainless I believe and was only in production for about 3 to 4 years.

Does anyone here remember the model of this gun and if they are on the used market.

I'm pretty sure it can't be the 4013 because I think they were staggered 9 or 10 round mags and they were in production far longer than 3-4 years.

S&W did make the CS40, which was a subcompact .40 cal for a while. It was part of the "Chiefs' Special" line. I'm pretty certain that was a single stack 6 round mag. Only a 3 inch barrel though, vicious recoil with hotter rounds from what I remember reading.

I have a 4053 - a single stack DAO .40S&W. Stainless slide and alloy frame. The magazines are not staggered.

As has been said, the DA/SA version is the 4013. The all stainless pieces are the 4056 and 4016.
