Thinking about BLR's
I was reading about a 'tactical lever action' over in the rifle forum, and got to wondering "I wonder if it is possible to modify M14/FAL/G3 mags to fit a .308 BLR?" Does anyone have both rifle and mags to find out? If it is possible, I'd like to know. Thanks

I will play the heavy again and note that if those are hi-cap mags, modifying them to fit another gun is probably illegal, as BATF says it constitutes manufacturing hi-cap mags.

Modifying a hi-cap to fit another weapon is not illegal, as long as the magizine will continue to work in the gun it was originally intended for. For example, using a Beretta 96 10-rd .40 cal mag as a 13 rd 92FS 9mm magazine would be legal, unless you bend the feed-lips. Bending the feed lips would prohibit the use of .40 rounds in the mag, and would therefore be illegal.
As far as FAL mags in a BLR..... |
