10.5"

Cameron,

I dont want to hijack the thread, but had a quick question based on your lovely collection. What's your impression on the 10.5?" Do you, personally, find it too blasty, or find any real deficiencies in the 556 caliber when using it with such a short barrel? I ask because you have just about every barrel lenght and configuration concievable there. Very nice collection. Do you have a favorite barrel "general purpose" barrel length? My dept issues the Colt select fire 6920 in a 14.5" and I'd have to say that's about my favorite. Obviously my personally owned are all 16.5 and 18", but I've never shot anything shorter.

To everyone else, thaks for the pics! Very nice EBG's!

Kindest Regards

Art "Chile"

I don't find the blast excessive with the 10.5". While there are always trade offs by decreasing barrel length you basically lose a little velocity and increase a little blast, for the advantages of size weight and maneuverability. Personally I find the SBR to make a lot of sense in 5.56, my two favourites and the ones I shoot the most often are the 10.5" and the 16" with a variable optic.

These two cover basically everything a 5.56 AR can do.

Finally got the muzzle device to complete my rifle. 300BLK with a 762SD.

I'm amazed out how quiet it is. The bullet impacts are louder than the shot.

Daewoo DR200. (actually pronounced "Day-you", if you care to be proper.) ACE skeletal buttstock, Primary Arms M3 clone mounted on a Stormwerks rail, DRP 90 degre safety lever.
And the ubiquitous Pmag

Here's my first, a Colt LE 6920 MP-B. I wish I would have bought one long ago.... Makes my liberal friends nuts!

My Izzy

Is it still an "EBR" if there's "evil OD Green" on it? Lol!
(One's a .22lr the other is a 5.56)

Not quite all-black but dark wood should count, right?

Is this "evil" or just atrocious? I don't know...

Cameron, PM'd you about your 10.5. Its exactly what I've envisioned for my first SBR and I was hoping you could share your build out.

Mods, can we sticky this thread?

Cheers.
