Its been years since I used an indoor range but when I did there policy was if it hits the ground it was theres. I would use a brass catcher.

^The range I used to shoot at was like that, but the one I shoot at now doesn't mind if you pick up your brass.

Just got back from home depot with some supplies to make a brass catcher, going to post some pics when I get it partially finished. I need some ideas for a base/need to inspect the table area at the range for mounting options.

I would not go to a range that thought if my brass hits their ground, it belongs to them!

I made a brass catcher out of a swimming pool net and a 1" dowel rod and a 4x6x10 piece of wood. It is not pretty but it works very well and only cost me $18 at a hardware store!
