Redding Dies in Lee Press

I have bought a Redding full length sizer die and neck sizer die for .30-06. I am using a Lee classic cast press. They (the dies) did not arrive with instructions. The instructions for the Lee dies state to screw the die into the press until the bottom of the die contacts the shell holder, with the ram all the way up. Is the setup for the Redding dies the same ?

Also, the Redding full length die seems to have an adjustment that the Lee die did not have. Can I get into headspace trouble with that ?

Lee die was victim of no lube (full length) Crimped primer got the neck sizer, the de-capping mandrel pushed the aluminum threaded plug out of the top of the die, destroying the threads.

I am sure this is redundant, but it ought to get you a sense you are on the right track. Although from RCBS, the same will be for Redding FL dies.

Lee die

Sent your Lee die back for a free replacement. Then as you all ready know, lube and watch for those crimped primers. Wait until you get one of those Berdan primed cases. Those are a lot of fun. Also get a Wilson headspace gage to check your die adjustment and also know what your rifle headspace looks like and size accordingly.
