Astra 960?

I know a guy looking to sell an Astra 960. Any info on these would be helpful. Including value. It's a blued 4" and looks to be about 95% new quality

I have never owned one but the few I have seen seem to be decent quality. Basically, and assuming you like the gun, I think it would be a matter of price; at $300 or so it would probably be worth taking a chance. More than that would, IMHO, be iffy.

Thanks. He offered me $300 and the Astra for a s&w 66-1 I have. I told him know thanks. I may try to buy it out right though

I'll be curious to know how it shoots if you get it. I like Astras! If it were me, I'd buy it, but then I have a more emotional take on the marque.

I was looking into an Astra .357 a year or so ago. I can't remember if the 960 and the one marked ".357 Magnum" on the right side of the barrel are the same or different models. And, whichever one it was it was HEAVY, like N frame heavy. Probably a nice gun, but hard to find parts for. I'd also say in the $300+ price range for a nice one.

300 to 350 for an Astra, and 400 to 450 for a Ruger Security six?
No brainer!
Don't waste the money.

I sold several of the Astra 38 SP revolvers through my shop about 10 years back. No complaints. Should be a $225-250 piece.
