Chautauqua County
I just moved to Chautauqua County, New York. Does anyone know what their pistol permit process is like?

Or just stop in the local State Police barracks.
Great deer hunting, I envy you. Maybe our paths will cross in the Diner one season. kenny b |

My whole family ( mom's and dad's sides ) are from Chautauqua County and I went to college down there. Beautiful area for outdoor sports - hunting, fishing, golf, skiing...in fact I was just down there last sunday to visit my brother...
The permit process starts with a trip the the county sherrif's office, or at the county clerk's office for an application. Most everything is easy to do but time consuming. expect 6 months or so from start to finish and at least $100 out of your pocket.
