looking to buy 223 brass

I am looking to buy some 223/5.56 brass that does not have crimped primer or that has been swaged.

If you are going for new brass for a bolt action. I would say go with Hornady. Good case life. the Primer pockets will hold tight for quite a few reloads. I will go out of my way to stay longer at the range to pick up the brass if I see a person shooting new Hornady ammo. Lapua is great if you do not mind paying around $65 to $80 per 100 depending on where you buy, and sales. They also come in a nice reusable plastic hard case. The one person I know that uses them says he can get quite a few reloads out of them in a bolt action neck sizing, and FL resizing every 5th time.

I do not like the work involved in removing pocket crimps, and trimming. Though I accept it as the price to pay for free brass.

Buy 1x fired brass and send it to Custom Brass Processing. He will size, deprime, swage, trim, and polish brass for 3.5 cents each. No way I'll do that when I can get it done fast and cheap.

Once Fired 223 - Lake City

Once Fired 223 - Lake City "LC" and YY is the headstamp, are available and are almost all the right headstamp, and are what you want, rather then mixed commercial.
http://www.wideners.com often has great deals, but don't do processing. OFB-LC556 95% BULK Once Fired Lake CIty 5.56mm(223) Brass $204.00/3000
www.GIBrass.com has them for $69 per thousand, +$25 to process primer pockets and clean.
