Red dot scop for rifle
Friends -
Along with the gray hairs come the weary eyes. I've been using a red dot scope on a pistol lately and really like it. I'd like to try a red dot scop on my .308 deer rifle. I know that such are made, yet I have no idea who makes a decent model and what the price ranges are. Generally, I should mention this is on a rifle used in central NC area (wet, cold) and I like a magnifcation in the 4x to 6x range. All advice greatly appreciated - thanks!

I don't use red dots much myself, but I'd imagine that if you like the red dot you're using with your pistol and are satisfied with it, you might want to stick with the same brand/type. From what I've seen, the vast majority of red dot scopes are un-magnified, so maybe I am thinking of something else? Aimpoint makes some 2x scopes, and they seem to be well respected. My advice would be to simply look around and see what appeals to you.
