changing stock on youth 870

When my son was 12 I bought him a youth 870 express. He is now 19 and after several bad years, quail hunting looks like it is going to be very good this fall. How expensive and viable would it be to simply change the stock on his shotgun to increase the LOP?

Check out eBay, I have bought 870 wood at pretty good prices. You might even want to buy the complete set. Forearm and butt stock with a recoil pad. Check the butt stock screw length, I don't know if the 870 uses the same screw for both butt stocks.

Addendum:
Just now checked eBay, and found the prices higher then they were three months ago when I bought my last stock. Let the buyer beware, the closer it gets to hunting season, the higher the prices.

E-Bay funds the people who want to take your firearms away from you.
Gunparts lists all kinds of 870 stocks. Start at about $35. They are not the only game in town of course. Boyd's makes 'em too.
Requires a 12" screw driver and one for the butt plate screws.

T. O'Heir,
I went to Numrich too. Man what a shock! I didn't realize 870 stock prices had gone up that much since the last time I bought one from them. I don't exactly remember when it was- but I think it was around $70 for a decent wood replacement.
