Age and Value of a Winchester Model 12

My son inherited a 16ga Winchester model 12 from my FIL. Before that it belonged to my Wifes grandfather. The gun appears to be in good condition with signs of many years of hunting, blue is worn through in spots and a few dings in stock, but no rust and it appears to be well taken care of after the hunt.
Serial #171635X
Does winchester have a web site with serial number history?

.

It looks like you might have a 1959 gun - IF the "X" in the SN you gave represents a digit.

The X is a digit. I dont like to give out full numbers on an open forum.
Thank you for the link and ID. Im guessing value is pretty low seeing as they produced more of those guns that year than any other.
