Re-blue a colt python?

It's got pretty heavy carry wear, but otherwise perfect.
Should I just leave it, or send it out for a great job.
Where?
It's my best 357 and I love the 4".

Have Colt do it. They put a Python blue finish on this WWI Repro for a guy.

If the blue is really bad, or you just want a Python that looks factory new, send it to Colt.
They do a fantastic job, and the current work looks like the old 1950's brilliant mirror blue.
They do it the right way, and a Colt factory re-blue doesn't lower the value like a re-blue done by any one else.

If the roll marks are faint or worn, they even offer re-marking of them.

Read the info on sending in a Colt on the web site:

I've got a Python I'm also considering having refinished by Colt. I didn't see any prices on their website. How much do they charge?

Don't hold me to this, but I "think" it's $275 for a Python.

This is the classic Colt Royal Blue Python blue job and it's very well worth the cost.
The gun comes back looking brand new with the old deep mirror blue finish.
Contact Colt for the actual price.

A poster on another forum a few months ago said $275 plus $30 shipping. His before and after pics were amazing.

Found it, post #24 has before and after pics.

The price used to be on their site. Now all I get are dead links when I click on some things.

The Pythons and Gold Cups I bought new in the 1970s were not that shiny.
I don't know when the definition of "Royal Blue" changed to "buff the snot out of it." I wonder if they would do a nice reblue a little toned down on the shine.

Colt offers standard polish blues.
All you have to do is specify what you want.

They'll naturally do a Python with the Royal Blue unless you specifically choose something else.
