I have never heard of such a critter. Not much room on x39 round to change. I am interested to hear more though.

Have a look at ammo guide, the have a case drawing, just scroll down the select thingy. Maybe pick up 150-200fps with 123grn. Seems simple enough, run a 6mm PPC reamer, i guess you would have to bush the pilot somehow. Maybe Lee collet dies would work on the case also
Being a CZ bolt action I wont have the difficulties that a semi auto may present Johno |

You'd need to make sure no one tried using steel cased ammo in it.

I would think that in the long run it will be more problems than it is worth. Not very significant gain in performance. Bunch of hassle in fire forming cases. My rule in wildcatting is wildcat to accomplish a significant performance gain over what I can get in a factory cartridge. In my opinion this improvement's performance would not justify the cost and aggravation associated with a wildcat.

Done a bit more research and it actually looks good, at least 10% gain. Looking at over 200fps in this sized case. Simply running a 6mm PPC reamer into the exsisting chamber. Straightens the case out and gives a 30* neck.
I think the Lee collet die would work on the improved case, fire forming would not be a problem Johno |
