Ithaca XL300, good or bad?

I got a chance to buy a like new Ithaca XL300, has anyone had any experience with them? Seems like a nice lite weight gun, the price was reasonable enough. thanks

I have a SKB XL900 - SKB made the Ithaca semis - and it's been working perfectly for over 20 years. The XL is gas operated, and the difference between the XL300 and XL900 is cosmetics - the 900's receiver is silver-sided and engraved, and has a vent rib barrel - the actions are the same.
