Should I shoot my SAA

I have a real nice Colt SAA, inherited from my dad. I think it may never have been fired. I don't know my SAA history, but this is not real old. It's in a cardboard stagecoach picture box. What I'd like to know is if it would be foolish to shoot it, or if its value is not so much more than a USFA or something. I'm not the kind of person who overly values safe queens, but I don't want to do anything stupid. Thanks for any info/advice.

Never mind, I found my old thread on this same topic. The answer was mixed, but all the info is there.

Life's too short to leave the 57 Chevy in the garage.

In order to get my 3rd Generation I had to fire an Unturned and New out of state Weapon. The Only regret I have is not firing the First COBIS round for NY.

I am jealous, yet happy.
The kicker is after The Gun store did the test for Me for 20.00 , the NY governor did away with the Stupid Law.

LOL
If I waited another 3 weeks I could have received it unfired.

I still would have shot it. The world is coming apart, unused weapons will be rare or taken from you.

Your choice..

Mine was to buy 6,400 brass Starline and winchester New Cases.
Oh yeah I ordered a second Colt 44-40 SAA, this time I will be the first to fire It.

Then Off to a Smith for the Tuning and Hopefully some Ivory.

I like Nutmeg any other choices will be appreciated.

P.S.
Now to get a couple hundred pounds of Black Powder.

You will never regret shooting it., I would stake all my weapons on it.

Let me Know if it Hooks you

It's your Dad's gun man..... If you don't fire it, someone else eventually will.

I wouldn't hesitate if I were you.
