Rey-O-Nol 12 ga. SxS shotgun (older)
Sir,
Have you any information on a double barrelled, hammerless shotgun bearing the name "Rey-O-Nol"? I've not seen it but a friend at work asked me about this gun owned by a relative. I asked about other proof marks, etc. and he was unable to supply any further info. I did a few websearches and came up empty handed. Has anyone ever heard of this brand? I'm trying to get more info such as serial number, proof marks, crown stamps, etc. Thanks in advance for any info you might be able to provide. Viejo

Could it be "REV-O-NOC" (Conover spelled backwards)? If so, it is a hardware store brand gun made by Crescent. See the following site
http://www.briley.com/articles/grampas_shotgun.html Then do a search on Conover Hardware, and I think you will have answered your questions. Jim |

Mr. Keenan,
Thank you, brother-in-arms ............. I stand in awe of your ability to answer this vague question and make the connection. I will have my buddy get in touch with Conover Hardware. Their website and phone number are still viable. WOW! Viejo

Sounds like we should start a "Stump Jim Keenan" contest! Good call, Jim!
