Sprigfield .22

I see a Springfield 53A .22 in an upcoming auction. I find nothing in the Bluebook or Numrich wishbooks on this gun. Can you tell me anything about it?

I found a post on another board:

"My book shows a Stevens Springfield Model 53A. Made by Savage Arms, who purchased Stevens in 1936. There modles 53 53A and 053 differ only in stock config. and options. made from 1935 to 1948."
