Alright you guys, I did it...

Ok so awhile ago you I mentioned thinking about getting a cap and ball revolver. Someone told me I shouldn't think and I should go get one. Well I took my first visit to "The Keystone Armory" today, I was going to buy a carcano but after being told about the cost of ammo I decided against it. I ended up getting a Pietta Remington 1858 cap and ball. Ok, I did it. Are you happy now? . I have everything but .36cal balls and patches and can't wait to shoot it!

Anyone know where I can get .36cal casts? I'm thinking about casting my own ammo.

Nice shooter - I've got one...scratch that....my WIFE has one - and it's a hoot to shoot.

Cabelas has both the molds (.375) and the wads for it.

Don't be surprised when that revolver starts multiplying!

I bought a Lee two cavity mold from Midway a few months ago for under 20 bucks and it's a winner. I cast with reclaimed stick-on wheel weights that my buddy's brother brings home from his tire shop.

That's what I'm buying and where I'm buying it from. I'm also going to be casting with wheel weights.....
