Any Review of Hogue Extreme Alum. Grips?

Particularly those for the Beretta 92, but any review is fine. Just wondered if they are designed to be thinner than stock plastic. I was thinking a set of checkered aluminum OD grips would look good on the Beretta.

They are pretty similar in size to the stock grips. I can't really tell a difference. The non-checkered grips feel a little more full in the hand than the stock grips, but it could be an illusion.

They definitely look great, but they don't seem to be as sturdy as the original plastic grips. I think they will mark & dent more readily. Given that and their cost, I wouldn't recommend them for a duty pistol.

Both of the guns in the picture are wearing Hogue Aluminum grips.
