I want to change the firing pin spring in my P 97. Can anyone give me a simple walkthrough on how to remove the firing pin? Thanks

leapfrog, with the safety lever in the off position push it out to the right. Keep your finger below the lever to catch the plunger and spring. The firing pin will come out to the rear.

George,
Thanks for the reply. I just want to make sure we're on the same page. The Ruger P 97 has an ambidextrious decocker, not a safety. Does the procedure you described still hold true? Thanks again. |
