Sierra 69 gr HPBT-MATCH and RL-10x

Hi all,
Is RL-10x too fast for a 69 grain projectile in a 1 in 9 twist barrel? I have a Mini-14 TARGET and would like to load with RL-10x. I can't find data for a bullet this heavy. The bottle of RL-10x states good for light bullets in .223. So is this like under 55 grains? I think a heavy .223 would be like 77+? Maybe needing a 1 in 7 barrel. My manual that lists this very bullet (lyman) shows anything but RL-10x. They do show others but as hard as it is not to look at the burn rate... I'd rather not do that. Components are: New Winchester brass trimmed to 1.750", Rem 6 1/2 primer, Sierra .224 69 grain HPBT-MATCH bullet. Will 10x work? any experience?

Yeah, RL 10X was specifically designed for light bullets. Your maximum loads with it under heavier bullets won't get them to maximum velocity. The 69's will work better with stick powders like Varget or IMR or H 4895, or with sphericals like Winchester 748 or AA2520. If you have to use the 10X, figure you'll max out somewhere around 20 grains.
